My primary approach to treatment is based on feminist-multicultural, interpersonal process, and humanistic principles. My work is trauma-informed and situated within a bedrock of psychological concepts I have developed as a published researcher and professor.
I am trained as a generalist and I provide therapy affirming of sexual orientation and gender diversity. I often address men's issues, topics of identity and oppression, as well as the nuance and complexity of relational concerns. Below are common topics I have addressed with past clients, although the list is not exhaustive. Layered within these topics, it is common to also address factors such as feelings of anxiety and depression, suicidal thoughts, self-esteem, and management of emotions.
